How does Northwest Federal Credit Union collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you:

  • open an account or deposit money
  • pay your bills or apply for a loan
  • use your credit or debit card

We also collect your personal information from others, such as credit bureaus, affiliates or other companies.

Why can’t I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only:

  • sharing for affiliates’ everyday business purposes – information about your creditworthiness
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you\
  • sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

State laws and individual companies may give you additional rights to limit sharing.

What happens when I limit sharing for an account I hold jointly with someone else?

Your choices will apply to everyone on your account.

Definitions

Affiliates

Companies related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

Our affiliates include NW Capital Management LLC, NW Insurance Agency LLC, Northwest Financial Advisors LLC, and Northwest Title & Escrow LLC.

Nonaffiliates

Companies not related by common ownership or control. They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

Northwest Federal Credit Union does not share with nonaffiliates so they can market to you.

Joint Marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies that together market financial products or services to you.

Northwest Federal Credit Union’s joint marketing partners include financial services companies.

Other Important Information

Once you opt out, you will remain opted out and do not need to opt out again. If at any time you wish to change your opt out status, please contact us.
